The Company
Tired and frustrated working for companies where maximum profit was the only consideration Keith Smith and Richard Harmer decided it was time to make a fresh start and make best use of their many years of expertise in the provision of a wide range of electrical services to the Sports, Leisure and Entertainment industries.
Event Power Services Limited was founded in July 2001 by Keith and Richard, upon the principal of an absolute commitment to provide the highest professional standards of technical and customer service at a reasonable cost to all clients.
The company has a strong foundation in providing the highest quality design and installation service. Between them Keith and Richard have over 30 years experience all gained designing, installing and managing electrical services for a wide range of venues and types of event from Horse and Motorcycle racing, Rugby and Football Stadia, Open air festivals, the National Indoor Arena, through to concerts from modern to classical and opera, to garden parties for weddings etc., and nearly 50 years experience of general electrical contracting.
All our staff are geared towards providing our clients with everything they need to ensure that their event runs without a hitch.
The company is fully committed to ensuring all its staff are fully trained in the latest technical qualifications and has an ongoing training programme to ensure that we can maintain the high standards we set for ourselves.

Design & consultancy.
We have many years experience in design and consultancy for any size event, from major international sports events to Garden Parties for birthdays, weddings etc...
Among our varied clients we have The Steeplechase Company (Cheltenham) Ltd. For over 15 years Keith and Richard have been directly responsible for the specification, design, installation and operation of all the electrical services for Cheltenham Racecourse, including the Cheltenham Gold Cup.
We are fully compliant with the highest standards required by current I.E.E. Regulations and Health & Safety Executive regulations,
Temporary Power
We offer a comprehensive range of services for temporary power supplies. Specification and design and consultancy of complete systems for major international events to small garden parties for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries etc...
At EPS we have recruited a team of qualified and dedicated professionals who are experienced in providing a complete range of temporary electrical services, all designed, installed and certified to comply with the highest professional standards and legal requirements..
Whatever your requirements we can offer a tailor made package to suit both the high standards that you want and also the size of your budget.
We have many years experience in the specification, installation and operation of all sizes of generators from 2.5kVA petrol units that can be carried in a car to 2.5 Megawatts that will arrive at your venue on a flat bed trailer, complete with the latest fully bunded fuel tanks that comply with current legislation.
We can provide just about any size, specification or configuration of generator needed, either from our own stock or through one of the specialist suppliers.
We also offer clients the option to have our team of dedicated staff provide on-site support during your event, an effective standby cover service for those times when you cannot just trust to luck that unforeseeable situations will not jeopardise the smooth running of your event. Alternatively if you require we can offer a 24hour call-out service.
